I am happy to write on behalf of Jorida Petritaj. As her face Language Learners teacher for the recent three years, I have gotten to know her well, and can appreciate what an comical person she is. Jorida has worked very hard these past three years I have known her, and I have seen her grow not besides in her English proficiency, but in her pedantics across the board. She has set gritty standards for herself, and maintains these standards consistently throughout high school. She has earned the respect of teachers and peers.Jorida came to Affton High tutor her freshmen year of high school from Albania, and in spite of her limited English proficiency has excelled in each of her classes, and has chosen to take honors classes as well. She workings very hard, and helps otherwise ESOL students who are new to Affton. In spite of only of the difficulties that a high school student endures both socially, and academically, Jorida has matured and make choices that have given her excel lent opportunities in the Affton community.As an outstanding citizen, I have seen her assist other students during the school year. She genuinely has a lust to see others learn when they are struggling. Her empathy is evident in the way she engages with other students. She has worked during her high school years to help her family. Her family made the decision to distinguish to America so Jorida and her little brother Gledi would have greater academic opportunities. Jorida has taken full advantage of this gift by following her fancy of working in the pharmaceutical field by attending reciprocal ohm County Technicals Pharmacy School.Jorida will be an asset to any program that she attends.
